Tavče gravče is a traditional Macedonian dish made with slow-cooked beans, paprika, and onions, baked until thick and rich in flavor.

Instructions

Soak the beans in water until softened, then drain and cook in fresh water until tender. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until softened. Add paprika, salt, and pepper, then mix well. Combine cooked beans with the onion mixture and transfer to a baking dish. Add bay leaves and a small amount of cooking liquid, then bake until thickened and slightly browned on top. Serve warm with bread or as a side dish.
